We're starting to run out of some spices now & with this lockdown & only being allowed to travel 5km unless it's essential, we ordered this methi on Amazon.
It's certainly different from the usual we get, lighter in colour & much larger leaves, with a beautiful smell to it, so fragrant. It looks like it was just picked off the bush & dried. I made a Madras & a Garlic Chilli Chicken using using it on Saturday & they were both really nice.

Nice Pauly. I used to get a fresh bunch from KRK in Glasgow, pick the leaves off and give them a rinse, pat with paper towels then into the oven to dry.
They would come out smelling wonderful, looking just like your pictures, ready to crumble into curries.

I would imagine that would be very fragrant chillipopper, a good idea. This does smell different to the usual kasuri methi we buy, reminds me of my grandad's old tobacco, Golden Virginia, if I remember.

I'm using Natco kasoori methi at the moment, but will get a fresh bunch when possible to compare.
It's been a while since I have cooked home/Bir curry, but I'm making the most of furlough by going over the forum and catching up on new techniques.
The Glasgow curries are my go to, but i can't wait to try everything else I have missed out on

Haha, I like the "topical" hand wash, in the background, pauly!
I always seem to buy too much dried fenugreek and keep it for too long. It hurts me to chuck it out! Nonetheless, it has to be done, sometimes, to preserve the fragrance and savouriness......

Well spotted CA, sick of the stuff at this stage, just waiting for it all to kick off again, I guy told me this morning that Killarney was full of American tourists, been flying in to Belfast , hiring a car & driving across the border.

Hi Chillipopper interested in your method. Ive just bought a large bunch to make a Methi Chicken curry but will have lots left over. Does this method work to give you the dried methi we get in asian supermarkets?chillipopper wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 11:11 am Nice Pauly.
