It would be great to hear how people have got on with following the ebook, especially to see some photos of the recipes they have followed.

We are delighted to announce that, as of today (i.e. within 2 weeks), 100 e-books have now been distributed for cumualtive donations to the nominated charities of £634!.
We are well on our way to reaching our ambitious target of £1000 of donations to the nominated charities by the end of this year (a graph of cumlative donations against target donations is regularly updated on the first post in this thread)!
We would like to ask that you please do whatever you can to encourage others to donate to one of the nominated charities and receive the e-book too. Please also feel free to provide any feedback and/or to ask any questions that you may have regarding the e-book in this thread. Any suggestions that you may have, on how to promote the e-book to a wider audience, would also be very much appreciated (please do not forget to click the social media "share" links on the forums home page).
Again, we are overwhelmed and very humbled by the generosity of our members in supporting this charitable cause!
Extremely well done, and a very big Thank You!, to all of you who have so generously donated to the nominated charities!

A huge thanks from me, 100 e-books distributed and £634 raised in just two weeks is beyond what we could have hoped
It took a lot of our time to produce the e-book, but it feels like it was definitely time well spent!

Remember folks, a curry is not just for Xmas, if you do a double portion then there is often some left for Boxing Day as well!

Re: "An Introduction to BIR Curries (V1.0)" Now Released!
This ebook really is my introduction to BIR, having bought it the first day I found this forum.
Two days later I have made my first batch of base gravy, made some mix powder and cooked a kilo of lamb, and frozen it all down ready to start being bought out on Friday. This was definitely aided by the simple, easy to follow instructions and structure of the book. Anyone who can cook a bit, could follow the instructions and make great BIR, and myself as a former chef doesn't feel like I'm being taught how to boil an egg.
The fact this has been compiled as a charity book makes it all the better, in short highly recommended and great value intro into BIR

Hello,
I bought the e-book and it looks awesome so thank you for producing this.
I have a question about the potatoes in the base gravy if someone could tell me please and sorry if it is a real dumb question but I am a real noob!
What type of potatoes should I use in the base gravy? I am guessing it should be something like a roasting potatoe i.e. King Edwards etc and not the waxy varieties you can buy. Or does it not even matter as they are cooked for so long?
Thank you.

Remove them before they are fully cooked and make a small hole in them, is a top tip it turned my bhajis from just ok to very good.
