Welcome to Curry Club!
Welcome to Curry Club, come on in, no need to loiter around the doorway !
Curry Club is a new forum initiative where each month someone will select a recipe from the forum, which ideally has not already been extensively tested by members. Members will then be invited to cook the dish during a specific week and share their results.
Aims of Curry Club:
1. Get members cooking more recipes from the forum
2. Provide more feedback on recipes being posted
3. Encourage members to get more involved and submit more posts to the forum
'Rules' of Curry Club:
1. You cannot select one of your own recipes!
2. You should stick to the recipe as closely as possible (differing base gravies and mixed powders are acceptable, but please state which ones you have used). Please state where you have made any significant deviations.
3. Each month the person who has selected the previous recipe will find another willing forum member to select the next recipe
4. Share your photos and results in the Curry Club thread for that months recipe (I will provide a link back from the recipe, so others can easily find it)
5. Be honest but respectful in your feedback
6. Please post any specific questions regarding the recipe in the appropriate recipe thread rather than the Curry Club thread, to keep things in an orderly fashion
So that's it, a bit like a Book Club, but with Curries!
Please also refer to Curry Club Rules & Guidelines for any amendments - Admin

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
A really good idea & hopefully, members will get to cook something different from their usual curries, I know I can get stuck in a rut.
Looking forward to seeing the results & reports from our members.

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
Good job Toast. Surprised you had time to design it, in between all the vindaloo action.

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
Thanks to all those who have got stuck in and had a go at Curry Club. I've added an extra 'rule' (more of an ask to be honest):
6. Please post any specific questions regarding the recipe in the appropriate recipe thread rather than the Curry Club thread, to keep things in an orderly fashion
Cheers!

Probably soon, although I still need to do the latest one! Hopefully next week.
Would you like to select the next dish Squibo?

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
Bonjour!
Just getting back into the 'loop' here!
Am I right in thinking that 'Month 3' was September?
Do we have a dish for October yet? I'm keen to have a go!

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
I believe we're about midway through "month 3" with the "next "month starting on or around 16th October (I'm sure that Alchy will confirm).....so there is still time to make this "month 3" recipe (i.e. Coriander and Lemon Achari by rshomes123) and provide your feedback....
PS: Perhaps we should extend this month to October 31st and start the next month on November 1st? Might save any confusion?

Re: Welcome to Curry Club!
Ah, ok CA. Wasn't sure if it was per calendar month, or what. I'll have a look at 'Month 3' again then.
Thanks,
MBC
