Chicken Tikka

Post by hs01 »

Some pictures of my Chicken Tikka uncooked and cooked, finally in a Tikka Masala. Brilliant skewers are by Steve Raichlen, available in different sizes, expensive, but quality. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... en+skewers

Great looking dishes, hs01, which recipes did you use for the chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala?

Thanks for the link for the skewers 8-)

very nice!

I've love to find a better way of doing tikka than I currently do! makes a terrible mess of my grill, and i'd think that flat skewers would be excellent as they'd make turning the meat over a foil lined baking tray easier, and much less mess!

Hi guys, again not my recipe, so can't take any credit, however I will say that its a good interpretation, the only thing I leave out is the fresh coriander as I don't feel it goes too well with "cream" type dishes, anyway the recipe is by Curry King (thanks) and the tikka is Blades recipe.

The skewers are fantastic, I use them by getting an oven roasting pan and lining it with foil, that takes care of any cleaning up! The skewer rest on the edge of the pan and I cook the tikka in the hottest oven for about 10-12 mins. Hope this helps.
