My first vegetable balti

Post by zerajera »

I was outdoors cooking a Chinese and after eating I noticed I had some par-cooked vegetables left. I had some Adey's base in the freezer and some Shabab's Balti spice & garam missal to use up. Out with the Balti pan and threw this dish together using the BIR method. Ginger & garlic puree, slacked down tomato puree, dried fenugreek blah blah blah. So a mixed veg, Balti with chick peas in minutes and was delicious. I ate a bit and warmed the rest up for tea.

Outdoor cooking can be a great thing for BIR because you can potentially get a really high heat, nice looking meal there zerajera!

That looks very nice. I've not seen shebab's mixed powder, I'll have to look it up. Shebab's balti is the best I've tasted! Nice few chillies in your balti too!
