How & When to Use Fenugreek?

Post by shoshun1 »

:w00t: One of the things I am hoping to discover on this site is how and when it is good to use Fenugreek, because it is 1) very strong smelling (and nice) and 2) very few recipes I can find actually have it in, (unless I have been looking with my eyes shut). as far as I can see this site is my best hope for all things Indian)!

I'm assuming you mean ground fenugreek seed & not methi leaves. I usually add a little as part of my mix powder.

I also use a little ground fenugreek seed in my spice mix for curries, I also am a fan of dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) in my curries. Both add lovely albeit different flavours to a curry.
