Hi Haldi thank you for your comment and yes the vindaloo was absolutely delicious. I did provide some more information in detail but I have edited my comment due to finding certain sections of the form locked.

Nice 'n' oily. A good argument for plastic containers.

That texture has me feeling very jealous.

Thanks for sharing James. Great for us ex-pats to see photos of genuine BIR goodness

Hi thank you very much for comments, it was my own fault as I was having issues accessing one part of the form but I have rectified that issue now thank you very much Paul for asking.
Hi British Indian yes the vindaloo was extremely tasty with a very Moorish flavour, you are correct about the texture it was absolutely fantastic. Here I provide a photo of the much sought after curry oil.

Hi James, great photos, looks spot on!!,
Is that spiced oil for cooking your currys?, Is the recipe on the forum or you if your own?

Hi Mark no to your question the photograph is taken inside the kitchen of the restaurant where I purchased the vindaloo, very kindly allowing me to take a photo of the spiced oil.
As explained to me It’s common sense really this oil is not used inside base gravy, as hotter curries requires a very heavy flavoured oil to achieve the British restaurant flavour that we all crave. If this oil were to be inside the gravy Mild curry would not work, mild curry requires a much more balanced flavour, Only a small amount of spiced oil is added to milder curries in other words the balance needs to be controlled not universal.
You can see from my photo of the Vindaloo if you look carefully the oil is just starting to cloud and lose its transparency this is due to the the spiced oil

Yeah I will supply a photo of the vindaloo close-up detail for your viewing pleasure, I found taking some close-ups very inspiring for my replication of cooking this dish.
