Samosa

Post by pauly »

I wouldn't have the patience or ability to make these, these are my wife's efforts, & they are delicious.

Recipe is from Madhur Jaffrey's old BBC recipe book.

Wow, great looking samosas, just like the traditional indian restaurants (punjabi style etc). I much prefer these than the bangladeshi high street restaurant versons. Yum!

Do you intend to post the recipe, for these, please, pauly? I'm sure other members would be interested in making them? 8-)

I don't think that recipes are under copyright, and reproducing a single recipe on a forum like this would anyway fall under 'fair use'. If you photocopied the book or posted recipes and the blurb that goes with them in the same order as in the book, you'd be on thin ground, but retyping a single recipe is fine, particularly as you have attributed it to the author.
If I publish an e-book, please kill me.

Ah, sorry pauly, I didn't notice that. Oh well. Maybe take that recipe, as a starting point, to make your own "new and improved" recipe?

Good idea CA, I'll set my wife to work !

I've emailed the BBC, as the book was published by them & Madhur Jaffrey, so if I get permission then up it'll go.

Ahhh, just plead with your wife to write it in her own words (and acknowledge the original source), pauly?
