Attempts from a beginner
1. Chicken Tikka Achari and Naan
The curry was not quite as good as I've done before, but the naans are certainly getting better.

That looks more like an intermediate curry attempt than a beginner! Nice job

What fantastic looking nans. I've never achieved anything close to those.
They've been cooking on Blue Peter, now they're sampling the dishes,

Cheers for the comments guys, really appreciate it
The naans are Happy-chris's recipe. Topped with melted ghee mixed with garlic granules and chopped coriander. I found it a bit of a different dough with it having no yeast and takes a bit more patience on the rise but results have been worth it. These were done on the gas stove with the tawa.

Hi Rusty. The curry seemed a bit bitter this time round. I'm careful not to burn the spices or garlic so not sure where it went wrong.

Over frying dried fenugreek leaves can lead to a bitter flavour.

Thank you cartz64.
There's the video to the recipe which helps out enormously. The hardest trick is to find a good weighty tawa that has a decent diameter to it. Once you've got that, the recipe and video will show you exactly what to do.
Alchemist, I think you may have solved the riddle. The methi is easy to burn as there's no sizzle with it being dry. Will go easy on the cook with it in future. Cheers for the tip.

Re: Attempts from a beginner
That looks nothing like a "beginner" attempt. Congratulations!
