January 2016- pauly's Chicken Passanda
Re: Chicken Passanda
Will again give this a try tomorrow and make two versions and try them side by side
one being the recipe from the ebook and this "ladies Version", i'll take some pictures and report back any differences.

Re: Chicken Passanda
Just cooked this for myself and hubby. I added a couple of dried red chillis at the g/g frying stage which gave it a little heat lift. Used a nice Pinot noir which we finished off with the curry. This is definitely a keeper and I'll be making it again so my thanks to Pauly for a delicious recipe

Re: Chicken Passanda
Wow!! This has to be my new favourite.. Cooked some up on Saturday night for myself as the wife was out, it was so nice i ended up cooking for 6 on Sunday (with a takeaway portion for our neighbours!)
The recipe scales up beautifully, the Red Wine isn't overpowering but really gives it a unique taste. I also used Snoops Pro Base, which i think works really well with this dish.
Just about fitted the "Big Batch" in my new pan
Dished up with some Rice..
Takeaway portion for the neighbours

Fantastic pictures !
Rich - that container you've prepared for your neighbour looks better than any I've had from a T/A in a number of years
Great recipe this one - everyone loves it so far .

A curry can never be ‘too garlicky’ or ‘too hot’ .....

Re: Chicken Passanda
All the family really enjoyed this one, pauly. I did reduce the sugar a little as I know the level we like, but apart from that no changes made to your recipe.

Re: Chicken Passanda
I went to make this for my wife tonight & found we didn't have any cream, so I used evaporated milk in place. She was happy with the change, & the taste I had was certainly pleasant.

Think we are going to have to acquire tastes for Almonds and Evaporated Milk.

Re: Chicken Passanda
Made this tonight. Used red chillies instead of chilli powder and didn't use red wine. It was gorgeous!!!! Will be making again

Re: Chicken Passanda
Matt, give it a try with a splash of red wine, it doesn't sound right but it creates some amazing unexpected flavour!
