After a lot of hard graft reformatting our ebook, it has finally made it to the shelves of Amazon Kindle!!!

Please share this to help us publicise the ebook and raise even more cash for our good causes.

[blink]Please note that donating to charity, to acquire a copy of our ebook, is totally independent of the Donating Member Option.[/blink]

Very well done, Alchy, thanks for your hard graft (again) in reformatting it and getting it onto Amazon...I know it was a rather frustrating exercise!

Hopefully it will significantly increase donations to the nominated charities 8-)

Please note that, if you're not particularly fussed about having a Kindle version, the pdf version is the preferable way to go. Not only is it much easier on the eye (regards formatting), but 100% of the proceeds then go directly to charity (rather than Amazon and Her Majesty's Revenue Service -i.e. VAT - taking a very significant chunk out of the proceeds!). Not sure if you share this view, Alchy?

Yes, totally agree CA. The pdf version is much more attractive to read and the charity gets all your money, plus 25% for those doing matched giving in the UK! It's a no brainer, as you can import the pdf into kindle as well. The Kindle version is just there to attempt to reach a wider audience.

Glad to hear that you like it, Lawrence 8-)

Please feel free to leave a review on Amazon (assuming that you bought the Kindle version off Amazon?). Similarly for anyone else who has bought the Kindle version off Amazon. Every (positive) review received will help promote sales and increase revenue to charities. So far, it has only received one review

Surely buying the book which i have should bypass the 5 posts rule as someone who doesn't really like talking to people in real life never mind online it would be a great back door entrance

Hi Dix, thanks for acquiring the ebook and donating. Why don't you post a review, you don't have to respond to anyone if you don't wish? That will bring you up to 4 posts. One more and you're up to full membership (feel free to comment on my reply as well!). Unfortunately this forum does require some ongoing participation, otherwise it just would not work if everyone failed to post anything.

This is a well moderated and friendly forum, so you're in a good place.

In your opinion, Dix, is the eBook of as good quality as you expected or could anything be made better? This would be feedback which is, of course, constructive and helpful to the site and which just happens to take you to 5 posts. Someone who is generally quiet but who posts constructively once in a while is worth keeping.

[Edit] Ah, I see you beat me to it with your unwashed pan reply! Enjoy the recipes.

Just a reminder, for those who may be thinking of getting a copy of our e-book but have not yet done so, the pdf version is preferable to the Kindle version since:
  1. the format and presentation of the pdf version is a little better and more user-friendly than the Kindle version
  2. 100% of donations from the pdf version go directly to charity whereas Amazon take around 40% of proceeds for the Kindle version available on Amazon

Thanks GB. Reviews are quite hard to come by on Kindle, so this will certainly help to pull in some more punters.
