Chicken Jalfrezi Shatkora Achari

Post by goncalo »

Tonight's dinner, an attempt at chicken shatkora, although some shatkora flavour once I bit into 2 small slices of shatkora from the pickle, it was for the most part just a jalfrezi, not a lot of shatkora flavour was to be found in the sauce or meat. In any case, it wasn't a total failure, just an average OK-ish curry.

Shatkora pickle added to my shopping list for tomorrow. Thanks for being the guinea pig.

Glad rshome123, also be sure to look for fresh shatkora, as alternative. If your supplier has them, the trick to pick the best is is to look at which shatkora fruit feels lighter. Start by picking the ones that looks less damaged/better purchase and then weight them on each hand. Some of them, while pretty big, will feel lighter than smaller ones. This is very easy to spot, I couldn't believe it myself. :)

Interesting looking dish, goncalo 8-)

Not sure it would be up my street; I'm not too fond of the sharpness of pickles (and I imagine, therefore, shatkora).
