Post by Alchemist »

As I have the dubious pleasure of workin some of Xmas day, I made some bhajis to cheer my team up...

Probably my finest effort to date

Perfect shaped bhajis there Alchemist. Mine tend to end up looking like meteorite shards.

Just my own variation, I always make these by judgement and mood, so no quantities here I'm afraid, but along the lines of

Onions thinly sliced and slices cut in half
Garlic and ginger paste
Good coating of mixed powder
A little chilli powder
Fennel seeds
A sprinkling of salt
2 Eggs
Garam flour

Oil heated to 160 degrees C and fried for about 5 mins until light brown, as they darken further once removed. They are all about plum sized, so they aren't raw inside once done.

Must have been good as the missus nicked 3 when they were cooling!
