A Few Recent Curries.....
A King Prawn Madras (medium hot for the missus):
A King Prawn Madras (hot, hot - pepped up with chilli sauce - for me) plus trimmings (looking rather messy, sorry about that!):
A Chicken Bhoona (medium hot):
A Tarka Dhal (as a side dish and to use to make some Dhansaks):
A Chicken Dhansak (medium hot - without pineapple):
A Lamb Dhansak (hot - with pineapple):
Chilli Paste (for pepping up the King Prawn Madras - a "must have" for pepping up curries, in my opinion):

Looking good CA. Strange thing is I just had a chicken dansak here in Brisbane. It was really nice and it had pineapple in it.

A cracking looking bevy of beauties there CA, pineapple just doesn't do it for me in a Dhansak.

Re: A Few Recent Curries.....
Interesting. I pureed a pineapple ring, with it's syrup, for the hot dhansak (plus the rather ugly chunks on top of the second photo - which doesn't really work well). The medium dhansak had no pineapple in. I much preferred the one with the pineapple in. It gives it a distinct, and different, taste to that without it in.

Dhansak is indeed a strange creature. It was the first curry I ever bought myself back in (circa) 1978. It was very mild, very sweet, full of pineapple and very delicious. I was hooked after the first mouthful.

All looking good as normal CA where they all cooked for the same sitting or on separate occasions, had a couple of weekends off the curries but getting withdrawl symptoms now so I feel a curry fest coming on for next weekend

Re: A Few Recent Curries.....
The chilli paste and King Prawn curries were cooked a couple of weeks earlier (the King Prawn curries reheated from frozen). The Dhal, Bhoonas (including a hotter one) and Dhansaks were cooked over a couple of days (using a newly prepared curry base for the curries).
