Decided to make the same vindaloo using British Indian recipe, one with my base gravy, one with my base Gravy Shots and one with no base gravy,I also made a traditional type pork vindaloo.

They all look pretty good, but which did you prefer?

To be Honest GB between the 3 Vindaloos the base gravy vindaloo was the best in taste and consistency, but only just.
The traditional pork vindaloo had the most flavours which surprised me as most of the spices were in marinating the pork.

I'll hazard a guess that's the traditional pork Steve :-)

I've seen lots of recipes for Pork Vindaloo, but I've never had it
I don't think I've ever seen it in a BIR
It's not Halal meat, is it?
Does the vindaloo taste much different, to BIR chicken or lamb vindaloos?

The pork vindaloo I made Haldi is nothing like a BIR, to be honest the first time I used pork and I will admit I prefer chicken, lamb and beef. Most of the flavour was from the marinade as not much spice got added to the curry and no base gravy. It did have a lot more flavours then a BIR Vindaloo.
