Well, because the red color is sufficient enough to make everything look, well, essentially, red, it's quite hard to say, really! :D

Is this also from Julian's "Curry2Go" book?

If so, and having not read it, what is in his "magic sauce" please?

It looks, to me, like what others might call "red masala" sauce or paste?
