rshome123's Monday Night Supper
Fancied something a little bit different today, so knocked up a Prawn Madras, Kadai Paneer, and some Naan.
A great combination.

I had to settle with gamon steak jacket potato and cauliflower cheese-which to be fair was very nice, but I think that prawn curry would have been more welcomed!

TN, would definitely recommend that you try a prawn curry, if you get the garlic and chilli balance right it is absolutely devine.
RS, that looks far too sumptuous a meal for a Monday night, we had quiche and chips

Thanks it was a good start to the week. If it makes you feel any better I had a carrot and an apple for breakfast.
Cartz... same old Madras Recipe, add the prawns near the end to heat through. The Kadai Paneer is something I'm currently working on with a view to a recipe/video etc.

I thought I spied some paneer in those photos! How hot are you making your Kadai Paneer dish? I've only had it at http://www.eriki.co.uk/ and the way they prepare it is on the spicier side. Is your version more traditional Indian style rather than BIR?

Re: rshome123's Monday Night Supper
Steve - To be honest, I just threw the Kadai Paneer together as quick and easy non-BIR experiment. It turned out nicely, in fact I may do a recipe/video on it.
More of a homestyle trial rather than authentic cooking. Shock horror: I used Tikka Paste.

Re: rshome123's Monday Night Supper
Love a bit of experimentation. My cooking at the moment is a combination of experimental main dishes accompanied by side dishes that are usually from either my own or others’ recipes. I like cooking based on instinct, considering what whole spices, powdered spices and fresh ingredients I wish to use, then going for it. Itngoes without saying that your evening's efforts look great and I'll keep and eye out for your KP dish in the near future!
