My own take on an eighties Vindaloo, the recipe is posted on the forum. Fiery, hot & utterly delicious. I use 1tsp of ground red chillies that we buy from a Chinese grocer, I got the idea from a recipe of CA's , many years ago, it wasn't a Vindaloo but it adds a lovely flavour. I don't know what variety they are, they come whole in an unmarked plastic bag.

I add 1tsp of black pepper, I've played around reducing it but come back to the full teaspoon.

The rice is the new Ashvill brand, a good length of grain & nicely fluffy.

All looks very good. I'm particularly impressed by the rice. Where did you pick this brand up from?

I'm very impressed with it as well CDrago, we had some tonight just plain boiled, it was superb.

I'm in Co.Cork, Eire, there is a new shop opened in Bishopstown, on the outskirts of Cork City. It's called "Ashvill" & has World's Longest Rice Premium Quality on the bag. It's processed by Chadson's International e mail : amiriqbal2005@yahoo.co.uk.

Hope that's of help.
