Made it up as I went Westy, the dhal was soaked overnight with 1/2 tsp of bread soda, it speeds up the cooking time considerably.
Perhaps I'll put up the recipes in the traditional recipes section, if anyone is interested, all very simple & strightforward, but nevertheless, very tasty.
The chapathi's really made it, to have eaten it with rice would have been very dry even with yoghurt.
I have to admit, I've seldom made them, for some reason my wife always does. They are superb though, soft & considering there's no additions, only flour, absolutely delicious.
