Chicken Tandoori Dopiaza Madras

Post by unclefrank »

This was a "what have i got to go in this" type of recipe.

Started off with a portion of Madras Sauce only, CA's is perfect for this.
2 tbsp Oil
2 Onions, 1 finely sliced, the other cut into eighths
1/2 tsp Methi
Chicken
1 tsp Tandoori Masala Powder
2 Fresh Tomatoes 1 finely sliced, the other chopped
2 Frozen Blocks Spinach Defrosted
1 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves Chopped

Add oil to a pan and heat for 30 seconds on a high heat.
Now add the eighths of onion and the methi and fry until onions just start to brown.
Then add the sliced onions, tandoori masala powder, tomatoes, chicken and fry until chicken has sealed.
Add spinach and the Madras Sauce and cook for 4-6 minutes making sure the chicken is cooked.
Sprinkle with fresh coriander and serve.

Also Bombay Aloo and Keema Parartha.
Even now the smell from my kitchen is driving me mad just want to eat it again ;)

Very good looking curries UF. Dopiaza is one of those I've ordered once or twice only and is on my list to try. Although, I don't think I was very sucessful the last time I made bunjarra. Have to investigate this again!
I am the unbearable scorcher of tikkas!
