Re: Forum Banner
What if we kicked off a bit of an open competition for members to submit their new logos and then voted on these alongside the existing logo to see if anyone has come up with something better?

Re: Forum Banner
Is there a set size for the overall banner?
It is easy to design a banner using all of the available space. Not so easy if it`s just the centre (as the images either side need to change constantly.

A few ideas - nothing too serious,
waiting for 5.5 litres of base sauce to cool down enough to blend (turned it off over an hour ago and it`s still piping hot!)

Ah, had no idea that logo thread existed.
Perhaps you could move my posts above over to there if that makes more sense?
If this thread is for banner designs maybe it should be full banners on here?
Cheers...

Re: Forum Banner
Essentially the same design, keeping the images either side so they can still be swapped daily:
Actually 1320x329px but uploaded at allowed 800px

Nice, creative banners, ToL, keep 'em coming!
PS: I suppose we need to decide if we change the current banners and, if so, to what? What do members suggest we do, please?

Some really good ones. Personally I'd prefer a big bold one... something like this (joking CA)...

Re: Forum Banner
Thanks CA
Love the ones by pauly (son)
Nice and clean.
Obviously it`s a tad more difficult to design a nice banner which also needs to incorporate members curry images...

Re: Forum Banner
My thoughts too... Almost impossible to have a professional Banner containing amateur photos. Maybe a separate section showing the hard work and creativity from members...

Re: Forum Banner
Are we due a forum banner refresh yet, CA? What about setting up a quarterly vote, so people can submit photos and others can vote on the ones that get added to the banner? So something like this - 2 weeks to submit photos to thread and then vote set up and 2 weeks to vote for your favourite 2.

Re: Forum Banner
I have updated 9 of the 24 random forum banners with a selection of logo/banner designs and curry photos recently submitted in this thread. I've tried to incorporate something from each member who made a submission. You may need to clear your browser cache and you will need to refresh your browser to randomly cycle through the banners.
Please feel free to continue to submit suggestions for the logo/banner design and photos of your curries and I will continue to periodically update (and/or add to) the banners.
I'm happy that we formerly review (and vote for) submissions on a quarterly basis. Or we can just continue to do it on an ad hoc basis (dependent on the number of submissions)?
Thanks for the reminder Alchy
