Post by unclefrank »

I was just having a rummage through some of my curry books and found this

So made the dish from page 29
A very dry dish with a nice warm heat to it.

More along the Traditional style dishes but think it can be converted to a BIR style will write recipe up soon if any body is interested.

Mad-Raz it did taste very good. What exactly about it doesn't like nice, it has a green tinge to it because of the handful of coriander leaves.
One thing don't start this bullsh*t on my thread Mad-Raz you show me your pictures of your curries or recipes.

That's the style of dish eaten by Coorgi men after they have finished farming and shooting it is part of a meal called Keilpodu, hence the word Thali in the heading, you really should do a little more research on Indian food before commenting on subjects you don't know much about.

I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment and post on here when i can and follow each picture i post with a recipe it may take me a little longer than others but i do get there in the end.

I would still like to see some of your recipes/pictures of dishes you have made just so i can see the the quality i need to be aiming for CHEERS ## :hmmm: ##

Come on guys, there is too much animosity currently happening on the forum. Please try and cool it down a bit....

Mad-Raz, I think that, on reflection, you may appreciate that your first reply was rather blunt, insensitive and impolite, to say the least :noexpression:

It's O.K CA, i won't leave this forum just because someone doesn't like a picture i posted got thicker skin than that, it's, i just wish he would have said why without even knowing whats in the recipe, what's the reason for the dryness of the dish, it is part of a Thali meal, where the dish originates from and what it tastes like, there again if he can remember eating a certain dish from over 15-20 years ago, another one of the "I can remember" brigade, then he must be an expert and instantly knows what a dish will taste like by a picture.
Any way will post recipe once i have got the taste and dryness right.

Will do CA. Still trying to get some recipes from a range of different TA's at the moment local to me but it can be very hard to try and get recipes from these Chefs. Got about 4-5 so far so will post when i have seen the dishes in question being made in their kitchens so they haven't left anything out from the recipes i have written down.
That's how this dish came to be cooked one of the Chef's friends said something about Coorg dishes, he said he will give me a recipe to try.
