Both CBMs recipes, although vegetable take was my own, precooking all veg before starting, apart from the fresh tomatoes that were added towards the end. Veg consisted of mushrooms, aubergines (eggplant), onion, red pepper, red chilli pepper, potato and cauliflower.
Mix powder was CBM, mix powder one from volume 1. Interestingly this contains no haldi powder, apart from what is in the mild madras powder you add.
I think the Mirch is now a personal favourite of mine.
Both were double portions and I tried following Adey's advice of using 1.5 times the spices and this gave excellent results. I think I may have killed a dish I made last week where I simple doubled up, the final taste was somewhat flat.

Great looking dishes Alchy. What method did you use for precooking the veg?

Cheers rshome. For the onion and peppers I mixed with 1 tsp oil and microwaved on high for around 2 mins. Everything else, with the exception of the mushrooms, was boiled in salted water until cooked. The raw mushrooms where added after the spice frying stage and cooked along the curry (forgot I had done that until now!).
Oh and I forgot about the red chillis until part way through so just added them to the gravy, seemed to do the trick!
Seemed to work well, everything held together fine, as I added the very delicate stuff like the aubergine and the toms toward the end.
Thanks for question, as no doubt I will have forgotten what I did if I try this one again!
