Yesterday's Curries...

Post by British Indian » Mon Jun 25, 2018 6:17 am

I cooked up 6 curries for the family yesterday. I remembered to take a photo after serving ( had to dodge arms and plates )

We have from the top:

Rice
saag Paneer
CTM
seekh kebab medium curry
Chicken Ceylon
garlic Chilli Chicken (gone)
Chicken Madras
Happy Chris naans

All cooked with a tablespoon each of Raj’s onion/tomato gravy, and yellow gravy. Absolutely gorgeous

HI Pauly, have a look here: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=9141

If you are really keen I’ll find out exactly how Raj makes the yellow gravy next time I see him, but as he says, it’s hardly worth making for domestic use as it doesn’t keep too well.

Gosh BI, you and GB are hunger teasers of the highest order :) Would love to be offered all those options to dip in and out of.
They've been cooking on Blue Peter, now they're sampling the dishes,
I don't normally like tomatoes John but this is delicious.

Love the newspapers - used to do this until Mrs GB frowned accordingly

The oil level is just tantalising, and works well on the camera. I take it you avoid tomato in your base etc? My photos end up much more red on forum photos than they actually are in reality. I assume you have lots of natural daylight, something we don't have have often.

As JT says, these curries wouldn't last long.

Thanks fellas.

GB, the wife put down the newspaper. I wasn’t going to argue.......I’m sure you know why, being a married man and all.

The photo was actually at night. The kitchen light was on. You can see the silhouette of my sons head impatiently waiting for me to get out of the way.

The base is JB’s original base. I wanted to try a change (here we go again : ) from CA’s original that I have been making for a while now.
