Meet up in NW England

Post by rshome123 »

It's that time of year again. BritishIndian is back in the UK soon for a few weeks, and keen to sample more curry like last year at the Hilal, Timperley, Altrincham.

I have a list of dates that are convenient, for those who wish to come along. Last year there were 4 of us (BI, Alchemist, JerryM, and me). Lets see if we can get a few more this time.

July
Mon 13th - Fri 17th
Mon 20th
Mon 27th - Tue 28th

I'll suggest a date/time initially, say Tues 14th July 6.30pm ?

Please register interest on this thread, and if you can't make the 14th, suggest alternative dates and I'll try to be flexible.

It's less than a month away, so let me know sooner rather than later.

Cheers,

MR RS

Thanks for organising this MR RS.

Hi Gonc. See the original post for where the restaurant is (15 mins from Manchester airport). It's just an evening of curry though.

Thanks Rich, I'm not worried about it being just one night. I have lived in UK and from times to times I get a craving for visiting the UK (BIR craving, if ya know what I mean :-)

My son was wondering how you recognise each other in the restaurant, he reckons you just look for the guys with turmeric stains down their shirts.

Would anyone else like to attend? Post soon, as I want to book the restaurant.

Ok, Stupot can't make it, and Goncalo hasn't responded, so I'll book the table in the next couple of days.

BI... are you bringing any family etc?

A mate of mine is also in UK at the same time, and he said he would come along if he's up north. Maybe add him in. I'm sure it wont be a problem if he doesn't make it.

Good stuff. We need to remember to capture a few photos of the good this year, to keep CA happy :D

Just been looking through the menu. Not sure why, as I am sure I will go for the Jalfrezi (or Jalfraizee as they spell it!) along with a crispy garlic naan
