November 2018 - cartz's Hari Mirchi Bhuna Gosht
Re: November 2018 - cartz's Hari Mirchi Bhuna Gosht
I made this tonight, It's a very flavourful dish, cardamom, chilli, cassia (subtly) coming through. I had no lamb so used chicken instead.
Thanks for the recipe Cartz, it was definitely a winner!

My attempt today at Cartz's Hari Mirchi Bhuna Gosht. Stuck to the recipe but left the onion and Pepper a bit larger .. nice flavour and heat ..

Don’t put any meat in it, use whatever veggies you like, pepppers, onions, potato, colliflower to replace the meat

Been out of the loop on this forum for a while now but decided to jump back in, glad I did as this is definitely getting made once I knock up a batch of base gravy

Cartz, Thanks very much for writing up and sharing. I will probably make a vegetarian version and use some Everest paneer. I usually fry the paneer first to get some of the cube sides crispy, then add to the curry at the appropriate time.

Sounds like a plan! I googled Everest paneer and see that Waitrose list it though I've not seen in it any other supermarket. Is that where you get yours from?
I'll be using chickpeas to try edison's recipe as I'm not off to Waitrose any time soon. I may try making Paneer one day as apparently it's very straightforward.

@simonides
You can always make your own paneer, it is so easy. Recipes in this forum of course

@simonides And make sure you get a really full fat milk, otherwise your paneer yield will be very low.
They've been cooking on Blue Peter, now they're sampling the dishes,
I don't normally like tomatoes John but this is delicious.

Thanks everyone, your individual curries are great! Nice job Stevie that looks the biz!!
Simon, as suggested use paneer, or such like. Any veg ie mixed veg....no problem!
