Second time of tryig this recipe. I cooked the rice this evening, without the veg curry. I scaled it up a bit. This time, I added precooked vegetables (cabbage, french beans, cauliflower, potato and peas, pre-cooked with turmeric powder to infuse some colour). I added a little squeeze of fresh lime once dished it up and a little finely sliced spring onion along with the cucumber, fresh tomato anfd corriander. I mixed this in to distribute it rather than just garnish ot this time. It turned ot very nice indeed and is certainly a dish I will continue to prepare. Great reccomendation for curry club.

Loved it!
It was a nice approach to a biryani, quicker than the normal version.
The sauce was nice and simple too, I used uncooked veggies and some more spicy stuff, turned out great too!

Hot-wise, I'd give this a 0 to 2/10 depending upon which mix powder you use. I'd serve this with a medium-hot (4 to 5/10) curry sauce or mirchi ka salan (Hyderabadi curried chillies).

I agree very mild but I garnish with sliced fresh green bullet chillies on top which adds a nice fresh crunch with heat

I did this again tonight, absolutely love the dish and I think it may have crept into my top 5. All of the components work together in harmony to create something special. For any members who might have time to try this one out before Christmas, Id highly recommend it!!

I made this tonight
I thought to give it, it's best chance I would make Dipuraja's base, spice mix and tikka
It was good, but felt that the sauce let it down
I don't rate his curry gravy
The tikka itself is excellent
Very good flavour and excellent aroma
I would make this again, but change a few things
I'd cook the onions, sultana and almonds for less time
Use less oil, and use a different base for the sauce
I really like the idea of a Curry of the Month, though
It's a great idea for so many people cooking the same dish
Nice to hear opinions
