Nice work Squibo! Bread looks great too. Parathas? Your own recipe?

The wife says its "bl**dy divine!"

Made this tonight with Pataks mixed pickle (chopped up finely), TikkaToms base gravy and Basaar spice mix. We were thoroughly impressed with it and will be doing it again! I love the heavy amount of spice mix used, the sauce was thick rich and flavorsome :) I also added about 1/2tsp salt.

I had a portion of this in the freezer. We had it the night before last. The taste was very different from pre-freezing (despite only having been frozen for a week). The pickle taste was still very much noticeable, but seemed to have 'mellowed' into the sauce a bit. Altogether even better, I (and Madame) would say. Definitely one which I will repeat, specifically with freezing in mind.

MBC :):

Edit; Any saltiness from the pickle had pretty much disappeared. In fact, I ended up adding salt whilst defrosting.

I gave it a go unfortunately the only pickle I had in was garlic I was bit apprehensive but it turned out to be very nice indeed. a bit more sauce next time I think but other than that a winner in my book.

I like the look of your curry Alpha. Interesting take on the pickle choice as well.

Tasty looking. My preference would be to have more sauce too.

Sure it's a bit off spec but that looks pretty tasty, I'm a big fan of garlic pickle so I may just have to try that substitution my self.

I do recommend grabbing some mixed pickle when you get chance though and trying it agian it's a great curry.

I've since tried an all mango version with mango chutney and pickle which was also had a very similar result.
