Great dish rs - here's my attempt
I like the flavour of this , it's not one of those 'knock your tastebuds off' curries but rather more subtle - the more you eat , the more you enjoy it . A refreshing change from some recipes in that the list of ingredients is simple and short. Not as hot as I usually like to cook but Mrs. Westy will be very pleased with this .
Certainly one to make again - Thank you !

A curry can never be ‘too garlicky’ or ‘too hot’ .....

Re: October 2016 rsaha's Bengali chicken (revised)
Made this tonight. The wife gave it 10/10 and I gave it 9/10. rsaha you are not only an excellent photographer but also a great cook! This is a fab recipe - very fresh and earthy tasting. I love panch pooran and not enough recipes use it! Ver impressed and will definitely be doing this one again. I think perhaps next time I may add a sprinkle of sugar to combat the tartness of the tomato.
@Alchy unfortunately the curry was the only action I got this evening!

Here's my attempt. If it doesn't look too embarrassing I might upload the video my son took of me making this.

Here is the video we made. Ran out of storage space on the iPad, so serving up was cut short, but you will see all of the cooking process. If you want to hear my enthralling commentary you may need to crank the sound up!

Awesome video. If I may, when I get to adding a BIR section to my still nascent food blog would you mind me posting it?

Re: October 2016 rsaha's Bengali chicken (revised)
As October bows out, thanks again for a great recipe. Made it again tonight and the only thing I did different was to scale it up for two and add a chopped red pepper (I figured if Red is good ten Redder is better). Tasty.

Yes, it did! Almost as long as CA in one of his infamous videos (apparently that took several hours according to legend!)

To get the seeds spattering, try heating the pan and then adding about a third of the oil and let it shimmer before adding the seeds. Once the seeds start to pop then add the rest of the oil, the pastes etc.
