I tried to post a photo of my attempt at Pauly's passanda but it's locked.
Anyway, just to let you know it's definitely a keeper and will be a regular in our household.

Please post it in pauly's Chicken Passada recipe thread, Bhajeegirl. We are trying to keep everything in once place so that others will subsequently more easily find it.

Curry club

Post by Greybeard »

Now that we are getting some really superb photos, and curry club seems to be getting more exposure, could we invite the creator of the recipe to judge / mark the results at the end of the month?

An interesting idea gb. I suppose as it would be the quality of the photo being judged rather than the curry itself? Also, some recipe authors may no longer be active on the forum. What do other members think?

I was thinking overall presentation, style, texture etc. Does this curry represent what the recipe author had in mind?

With hindsight thinking about it though, it is a totally daft suggestion. rsaha would win every time with their stunning presentation etc.

Surely they are free to comment, as they feel fit, anyway? And, sometimes, do?

I totally agree with that, people are free to comment or not as they wish. I was just thinking along the lines that the level of photography and presentation has gone up by leaps and bounds of late, and possibly more feedback from the creators of the dish would encourage more participation - albeit in the spirit of gentle competition?

GB - You are too kind. Plus I don't know how long I can hope to keep that reputation. I'm seeing lots of nice work these days - yourself included. BTW - I noticed your reference to me was androgynous. I am a "he" FWIW.

Guilty as charged rsaha, not always easy to work out from nicknames. No offence meant

Thanks to everyone who tried my aloo chaat recipe as November Curry Club Curry. it was great to see so many members participate and receive feed back. Are there any thoughts of December's curry club dish?
