Rsaha I used approximately 80g of spinach per serving along with one and a half teaspoons of extra hot chilli powder (Rajah brand). Depending on you liking for Pardesi type dishes you could up the spinach amount to suit your tastes.

The result of adding the chilli powder meant that the Korma taste was a little overpowered so on making this a second time I left out the cream and added an extra tablespoon of coconut powder along with a 2 inch cinnamon stick (instead of a 1 inch piece) this allowed the traditional korma taste to come through a little more.

Made up a fresh batch of base and used some of it to make a Chicken Korma (both rshome123's recipes), it was very good indeed. The words 'best korma I've ever tasted' were heard around the dinner table!

I´m just making Dipuraja1´base gravy. I wanted to cook a Beef Madras with his base for lunch today but I didn´t have enough time. Instead we had a Beef Madras from an old cook book by Syed Abdullah. A curry with just a few ingredients, but really a nice one. 8-)

I´ve just pre-cooked two pounds of chicken with onions, coriander, cumin, tumeric, mix powder, oil and tomato puree. I decided to spice it up with a whole green chili. I´m planning to cook lagerlad´s chicken Malaya tomorrow. However, no fresh ginger in the fridge but the curry is supposed to be a mild one with pineapple and bananas. 8-)

I ´ve just prepared an onion puree, masala gravy, akhni stock and a mild curry base (from the second Pat Chapman book) which is required to make a Vindaloo base from his 1980s book. Next I will pre-cook the chicken and potatoes with some hot curry powder (Bolst´s) To be honest some recipes from the book require quite a lot of work (more than the base gravies you can find on this forum) but some dishes are very tasty, especially with some adjustments I can make because of the knowledge one can find here. :):

I´m going to make Dipuraja1 ´s vindaloo but with pre-cooked meat instead of tikka. The meat is done…. I still have to cook Dipuraja´s bombay aloo for the dish. :cool2:
