A simple supper, Westys Dhal and CA's tikka

Fancied a nice light meal so went for my usual Westys dhal and tikka. I chose CA's tikka for a change and it was great, I made up fresh tandoori masala and it was lovely!

Pictures are of it re heated and half way through eating so looks a little dry but it was lovely!

Lovely looking curry, not too oily and a great sheen to it!

Re: Tandoori Chicken

Hi admin, tried the link but there is no tandoori video on that thread, nevermind. I do continually try new tikka recipes and have tried many, CA's my fave for a curry and Blades on its own. Just fancied the look of this one.

Cure for the common cold

None of the over the counter remedies are shifting my man flu so its got to be a herbal remedy!!! CTs Madras sauce for prawns later!!! That should do it.

The replacement of blended tubed tomato puree with 4tbls of passata made a noteable positive change!!

Lovely stuff.

I agree very mild but I garnish with sliced fresh green bullet chillies on top which adds a nice fresh crunch with heat

Made this today along with Dips onion salad to go with prawns which I will add at the end, the veg I used was cauliflower broccoli carrots and peas. The brown thing in the rice is cassia from the pre cooked pilau

Re: November 2016 - steveparadox's Aloo Chaat

I too made this tonight and was a little disappointed whilst tasting during cooking, but I had previously made westys madras, and som biryani rice so my taste buds were overloaded. Eating it some 4 hours later and it was great! I am a big fan of chaat masal powder especially on tikka etc

Well done!

Prawn and paneer tandoori

A sneaky brunch experiment, prawn and paneer tandoori with lemon and chat masala! Very nice and is a banker now just a little less time under the grill.

Re: Madras sauce

Westy I suppose I would prefer my own but it's not really feasible and I just view it as another bought in sauce/paste etc
It certainly tasted good enough to satisfy my yearning!
