Re: Chicken Bhuna Madras

I quite like upping the heat in my bhuna with some fresh chillies to give it some kick. I may try mixing a madras and bhuna recipe to see how that works out.

What I've yet to really do, is master a good garlic chilli chicken.

Re: rsaha's curry pics

What makes the first and last pics is contrast. The food and the background separate nicely.

The middle pic which you found less successful there's very little contrast between the food and the background.

Re: Looking forward to tonight!

Smokey deliciousness! Possibly the best curry ever to grace this house, from takeaway or made by me! The chicken was juicy, soft and smokey, the charcoal hint not lost in the rich sauce, really nailed a smokey layer through the dish that was utterly moreish! The curry itself was hot but balanced, sw...

Re: Looking forward to tonight!

I think being cooked over hot coals in a clay bowl, is likely to give the meat a 1980's tandoor feel :)

Looking forward to tonight!

My Other halfs family were over at the weekend and had hired a barbecue hut near where I live. I dutifully prepared a large batch of my Chicken Tikka, enough so that there would be some left! Well of course, I have a nice chunk of left over barbecued tikka! Will be throwing that into a Jalfrezi toni...

Re: New Years feast (bonus curry sausage rolls)

Hi all Recipes in most cases were yours RS. Bhuna, CTM and saag aloo. Albeit I now Make all of them with slight tweaks for my taste preferences. My own base gravy and happychris naans as per usual! The onion salad is also my own combo. Just a little sugar, salt, lemon dressing and mint. CA I really ...

Re: Solitary Christmas meal!

The tikka is my own variation on a few recipes. I tend to just do it by eye! Like base gravy I don't think ultimately exact measurements matter all that much in tikka. Marinade for 30 mins in lemon dressing and G&G paste. Then add a good tablespoon of tandoori masala, a tsp of mix powder, some m...
