They look very good tikkatom,i do similar only i roll out the naan dough paper thin and use them as wraps,you can put anything in them,you can freeze them too.

I have been in many a indian ta kitchen and i always take a look at which whole spices they have in jars,there is only one room in my local ta so everything is there for you to see,i am yet to see fenugreek seeds,i would be interested to know if anyone as seen them in a kitchen for them selves.

I am with chukit on this one,the first couple of restaurants i worked did not use it,i think the curries were better in those days,when i have forgot to put it in any of my dishes or run out i dont think i have missed it.

I think lots of coriander herb works well,as can fresh chilli and also lemon juice or wine vinegar.

I forgot to get around to month 1 but i will do it soon,its impossible for me to forget to do month 2 because i have already,my mum loves spinache my dad loves garlic so i did it for them less the chilli, but i used sliced green birdseye chillis for myself,i used adeys first base and dipurajas mixed...

Yep just got my 15yo nephew to cook himself his own final dish using my base etc he as just got his first real girl friend i said bring her around and make her one she will be well impressed he does not need much more practice i think hes a natural.

I copied the way i have seen it done in several YT videos and that was to put it in shortly after the mixed powder then put the tomato sauce in, thats the only method i have done,maybe it would of been better if i had put it in with the gg paste to cook out more but i dont think i will be trying it ...

i dont think thats the reason dougie,my sister was expecting me at hers so she made a curry,i told her after one mouth full it had pataks in it i just suffered as much of it as i could,i know its in the madras and balti at my local but i would still order them as i cant detect it at all.

i dont think it is either,birs use either an ingredient or technique that as an effect on the taste of spices a bit like msg does when making a chinese style curry so that is why you dont taste pataks in your meal from the TA,i cant stand pataks and wont use it but i found out recently i have been h...

hi alchy,congrats on your first couple of ebay sales,the one you have at auction what if you edited in,and spice mixes after an introduction to british indian restaurant curries, alot more people are going to see it and it will be in the spices category on its own which could be a good thing.
